Our team have run a good race this week as they’ve continued their tour of the South, ending it in style with a weekend at two of the region’s biggest marathon events.
On Saturday 25th October, we set up our tent at Beachy Head Marathon in Eastbourne, before running off to Southsea where we spent Sunday talking to the crowds at the Great South Run.
Our memorabilia jogged the memories of runners and supporters alike, with plenty of people stopping off to speak to us about fostering and find out more about being a carer. We were thrilled that some locals made a special trip to see us, with one visitor saying, “We saw on your Facebook page that you were going to be here today, so made a special trip to come and see you to lend our support.”
“This is a very important message that FCA are sharing,” said another. “Children need security and stability within a consistent, structured environment in order to build trust and become a confident person. You’ve hit the nail on the head when you speak about memories as these are with you forever.”
Thanks to everyone who stopped to see us this weekend – check out our events calendar to see when we’ll be visiting a town near you.
