Fostering in the South East of England

Interested in fostering or curious on how a foster care agency works? Foster Care Associates has helped thousands of children find homes with loving families over the years and has since grown to become one of the UK’s leading and largest fostering agencies.

With over 25 years of experience, Foster Care Associates has helped build fostering families all over the UK including the South East of England. Each year, the number of referrals of children and young people we get from local authorities increases.

During 2019, there were over 6,794 children referrals in the South East of England, including London and Kent. For anyone who is considering becoming a foster parent (commonly known as a foster carer) or would like to know more information regarding the process to becoming a foster parent should get in touch and speak to one of our friendly advisers on how you can get started.

Fostering within the South East of England could not be easier. We are helping children find loving foster parents across many regions of the South East. All the way from Kent to Southampton and London to Brighton, we also cover the Isle of Wight.

For more information regarding our specific regions in which we operate, or how to foster in a more localised region, please follow one of the links below:

Fostering support within the South East

Within the South East region over 122 foster carers are supported by approximately 40 staff members.

We host a number of local and regional activities and events across the South East of England. These are organised on a regular basis to not only provide as much fun as possible, but to also provide additional support and opportunities for both new and existing foster carers and families to meet up and have a chat.

Every year an awards ceremony is held for all our children and young people, to recognise and celebrate their achievements. This is in addition to a region-wide Christmas party and of course the ‘Big Sing Off’ choir competition. This is where we get to perform with our best singing voices in front of an audience of over 600 other foster carers, staff, children and young people.

On top of the many South-East support events, Foster Care Associates also provides lots types of high-quality training and support. For example, both Pre-Approval Training and Post-Approval Training.
