Regions Do Their Bit For Comic Relief

Archived: Posted April 2, 2013

The month of March was full of Comic Relief fund-raising events and this year saw a new record of £75 million pounds raised towards deserving causes across the UK and Africa.

Core Assets Fostering - MidlandsWell every little helps as they say, and our very own Core Assets Fostering teams in Thames Valley and Midlands managed to raise money through a variety of different ways and means…

Not necessarily doing something funny for money but rather focussing on the food side of things, Midlands South office held a ‘Fabulous Friday Buffet’ – putting on a colour coordinated spread for Red Nose Day and raising £27.05 through the sale (and consumption) of cakes. Yum!

Thames Valley have been hard at work too with various fund-raising activities throughout the region in the run up to Red Nose Day, including Valentine’s Cakes (£42.31), Skittles in a Jar (£7.42), Walk the Lakes – Priory Country Park (£25.17), Walk the Lakes – Tring Reservoir (£220.00), Tea Party – South Support Group (£14.00), Coffee Morning – North Support Group (£13.96), Rhiannon’s Cake Sale (£17.48), Red Nose Day Biscuits (£11.66), Dress Down/Dress in Red Thurs/Fri (£20.00), Jessie J Hair Sweepstake (£42.00), Bake-off Competition and Coffee Morning (£30.00) and rounded up by Ashley (£6.00) raising a whopping £450.00!

A huge thank you to all who took part in raising money for Comic Relief and for having fun whilst doing it!
