Home Counties Recruitment Drive

Archived: Posted March 18, 2013

Core Assets Fostering - Thames ValleyWith around 9,000* new carers urgently needed across the UK, we’re launching a number of recruitment drives across the country and as part of this we’re looking to recruit new foster carers living in or around the home counties.

Our Spring 2013 campaign aims to help raise awareness of the shortage of foster cares across the county and to find suitable families to look after vulnerable children.

“We are desperately looking to find more foster carers who can provide a safe and secure home environment for vulnerable children and young people.  These children simply need the security of a happy and stable family unit, so that they can thrive and enjoy living in their local communities,” says Core Assets area manager, Sarah Dimmelow.

“Foster carers come from all walks of life and they are all hugely committed, resilient and have a good sense of humour. Fostering can be challenging but with the right support and training, it can also be hugely rewarding.

“We provide carers with in-depth training and 24 hour support. All we ask is that you’re over 21 years old, that you have a spare bedroom suitable for a young person and have the determination to help make a positive and lasting difference.”

We welcome single carers, married, cohabiting and same sex couples from all ethnicities and religious backgrounds.
