Celebrating the commitment and dedication of foster carers in North Wales

Archived: Posted October 16, 2015

Our North Wales team marked International Foster Carer Appreciation Day at its regional super support group on 14th October. More than 50 staff and carers attended the event at Colwyn Bay Football Club, to celebrate the day.

Cakes, chocolates and a lovely lunch was provided for all, and the day ended with goody bags for all carers to take away and remember their day.

Celebrating foster care appreciation day in North Wales

Sandra Jones, regional manager for Cymru North, thanked all the carers for their dedication, devotion and perseverance shown to the children and young people they care for on a day to day basis.  She said: “The steadfast commitment our carers show to the children they care for changes their lives forever. There are challenges carers face on a day to day basis, however their determination is truly valued by Foster Care Associates. During the years I have worked for FCA I have seen children and young people grow up into mature and admirable young people, and that this is due to the work of our foster carers.”
