Blankets knitted by foster children are donated to The Basement Project in Bromsgrove

updated at 3:33 pm, January 7, 2019

The FCA Midlands team set up a knitting club for its young people in the Midlands region.  Staff have worked with foster children on a number of projects – most recently on two blankets, which the young people asked to be donated to local charity The Basement Project.

The Basement Project provides support for care leavers and other young people, aged 16-25, who are at risk of homelessness. The charity is located in Bromsgrove, along with FCA head office, making it an ideal choice for the donation.

Pamela Springer, Registered Manager of FCA Midlands said: “Our young people have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the knitting project this year and it was their choice to donate the blankets to The Basement Project. It’s great to see our young people recognise the importance of helping others.  The Basement Project is an extremely worthwhile local cause, close to all of our hearts.  The Basement Project has done, and continues to do, fantastic work and we hope to work more closely with them in the future.”
