A team effort
Fostering with FCA means that you would be entitled to a range of support services that we offer including access to a skilled team of professionals based at the local office that include;
• Social workers
• Education officers
• Therapists
• Children and Young Person’s Support Service (CYPSS) workers
As part of our Team Parenting® approach we provide a wrap-around support service to foster carers which involves regular contact with experts who have both experience and knowledge in all areas of childcare. Contact levels may vary depending on the needs of the foster carer and the children and young people they look after.
Foster care services available in South Wales
As well as the Team Parenting® approach, foster carers in Swansea also have the opportunity to attend regular local training sessions to equip them with essential fostering skills going forward. We also hold carer group meetings and offer many organised events and activities to support carers and the children in their care as well as their birth children to enjoy and benefit from.
