Fostering in South Yorkshire
Have you ever thought about a career in foster care? If you have and you live in South Yorkshire or the surrounding areas, read on to find out more.
FCA is an Independent Fostering Agency and with 80 offices in locations across the UK it is the largest of its kind. Having a network of offices means that there is a ‘local’ feel to the services we provide and a friendly atmosphere when you visit us here in the Doncaster or Sheffield office.
Each individual office is part of a larger infrastructure but we have managed to retain a ‘local’ aspect to fostering. This is evident in how we provide on-going support to foster carers and the young people and children they look after because we offer access to the expertise of our childcare professionals through an approach known as Team Parenting®.
Using this approach we are able to help when it comes to fostering in Doncaster, fostering in Rotherham, fostering in Sheffield and fostering in Barnsley and to achieve positive outcomes for looked after children and young people.
Team Parenting® in South Yorkshire
As a foster carer in South Yorkshire you will have access to the services that contribute to the Team Parenting® approach. At each local office you will find the following team of experts:
• FCA Social Worker assigned to you
• Therapist
• Education Officer
• Children and Young Persons Support Service (CYPSS) Workers
All foster carers for FCA benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience of the team. Dependent upon the needs of the foster carer and those of the children or young people in their care, we determine the correct level of support and deliver it in a friendly but professional manner.
