FCA services available in the North West
At FCA we have a unique approach to foster care called Team Parenting® that involves a team of skilled childcare professionals who work closely together to provide a help and support for foster carers which enables them in turn to support the needs of the children or young people they look after.
The Team Parenting® service consists of the following team of experts:
• An FCA assigned social worker
• Education officer
• Therapist
• Children and Young Persons Support Service (CYPSS) worker
Support comes through a range of organised activities and events, regularly held carer support groups and on-going local training, foster carers are given guidance and support to help them and the young people they look after. This approach has been found to be highly beneficial to those involved.
