The services we provide to foster carers
As a foster carer in or around Lancashire you will have access to the following services that form the Team Parenting® approach used at FCA. The level of support in terms of the services you receive is dependent upon the needs of the child or young person. The skilled team includes;
• Social Worker assigned to you
• Therapist
• Education officer
• Children and Young Persons Support Service (CYPSS) Workers
Support is delivered through the many organised activities and events within the region as well as on-going training (held locally) and regular carer support groups geared towards the foster carers needs so they can in turn deliver the best care to the children who are placed with them.
Along with the range of guidance and support available, FCA also offers competitive payments and paid respite to foster carers.
Why you should care
Fostering with FCA is a valuable career option and one that brings huge rewards and challenges to both the foster carer and the children and young people they look after.
Giving a child or young person in care the chance to live in a stable family setting, listening to them and valuing their opinions goes a long way towards reaching the positive outcomes they deserve.
