FCA North East to sponsor the Eagles
February 18, 2010
FCA North East has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Newcastle Eagles Basketball Team. The year-long deal will have some great benefits for both FCA North East and the British Basketball League club, not least by providing FCA North East with a corporate scope for carer recruitment and offering some exciting opportunities for our children and young people.
As part of the sponsorship agreement, there will be opportunities to enjoy complementary match tickets to see selected Newcastle Eagles Home matches. There will also be opportunities for looked after children and young people to be trained up as cheerleaders and perform before a match, as well as the chance to visit the team’s training ground, and listen to valuable advice on matters such as equality and diversity and careers through talks from the Eagles players themselves.
There will also be a one day summer camp exclusive for FCA.
FCA’s North East foster carers should keep their ears peeled too for the chance to win a signed basketball and signed t-shirt!
The sponsorship scheme will provide FCA North East with the opportunity to recruit foster carers across the North East region through recruitment events held at the Eagles’ Newcastle Metro Radio Arena. FCA will also have a courtside board, an advert featured in the match programme, and a link to our website from the home page of the Eagles' website.
FCA North East Commercial Manager, Jodie Fletcher Murray, commented: "This is a fantastic accomplishment for FCA North East and a first for our region. Not only can we use the home games as a platform to recruit carers, we can also offer a variety of new, exciting and engaging activities for our children and young people and their fostering families".
The first recruitment event is on 12th march 2010. See our regional events page for further information.
