London Placements

Are you thinking of fostering in London?

FCA is currently experiencing a shortage of foster carers across the city and boroughs of London for many different placements types.

We are also specifically looking to speak to potential foster carers from who can provide foster care for the following placement types:

  • Teenagers, particularly teenage boys, with complex needs or difficult behaviour.
  • Sanctuary Seeking Children who have come into the UK alone seeking asylum.
  • Young people from a variety of different cultural or ethnic backgrounds.
  • Young parents and children or pregnant young women (see Parent and Child placements for more information.)
  • Groups of siblings.

Fostering cultural identity in London

Where children and young people are placed in foster care from different cultural or ethnic backgrounds, FCA ideally seeks to place them with foster carers of the same ethnicity or religion so as to promote and protect their cultural identity.

In London, we have a high volume of teenagers in need of foster carers who are from a Black African or Black Caribbean background. Wherever possible, we are seeking to recruit foster carers of the same cultural heritage to offer them a safe and stable home environment.

If you think you could offer foster care to children and young people in London, please call FCA today on 0800 023 4561 or enquire online.
