Shortage of Carers in Kent
October 27, 2011
FCA has stepped up its recruitment campaign for carers who are able to take remand fostering placements in the Kent region.
Remand placements place young people with challenging behaviour who have come to the attention of the courts.
We are particularly looking for two-parent or capable single carers with one or two bedrooms, available for full-time commitment and the ability to drive. Due to court restrictions, children under the age of 16 or any vulnerable adults will not be able to reside in the household.
We must ask that carers be within 60 minutes’ drive of Youth Offender Team courts in the following areas:
- Ashford
- Canterbury
- Faversham
- Dover
- Folkestone
- Maidstone
- Rochester
- Tonbridge
Carers must also be able to provide detailed logs of the placement progress.
For more information or to help us address the shortage of carers for difficult placements, please contact us today.
Further information about remand fostering placements can be found on our fostering placements page.
