Eastern Placements
Are you thinking of fostering in Eastern?
FCA is always looking to speak with foster carers across the Eastern region for many different types of foster care placements.
However, we are also are currently experiencing a shortage of foster carers in the regions listed below for certain specific placements types.
Foster carers required for Short Break care in Chelmsford and Colchester
We are supporting families of disabled children and are currently looking for short break carers to assist us within the Colchester and Chelmsford regions.
Our short break carers would be available for individual breaks for 5/6 children for up to 200 nights a year providing flexible care for families of disabled children including after school, weekend and school holidays.
Fostering in Cambridgeshire
We want to talk to people who are interested in fostering in Cambridge and the surrounding areas to care for teenagers with complex needs and difficult behaviours.
FCA is particularly keen to talk to anyone living in Cambridgeshire who can provide a home to children or young people who have been in residential foster care and who we would like to place in a family environment.
Fostering in Norfolk
We need people thinking of fostering in Norfolk to provide a home to young parents and their children. These can include couples or single parents, as well as pregnant young women.
Parent and Child placements require a high level of care for both parents and children for which FCA provides foster carer training.
Fostering in Suffolk
FCA is looking for people thinking of fostering in Ipswich, fostering in Bury St Edmunds, fostering in Felixstowe and across Suffolk who can provide safe and stable homes for young people of different ages with complex needs.
The needs of each child in foster care can vary and are often the result of abuse, neglect or repeated placement breakdowns.
If you’re thinking of fostering in Suffolk, we are looking for foster carers who can provide care for children in many different types of placement.
Fostering in Essex
We want to talk to people thinking of fostering in Essex who can care for teenagers with complex needs and difficult behaviours, many of whom will have come from residential care.
We need foster carers in Essex who can provide a home to children or young people who have been in residential foster care placements and who we would like to place in a family environment.
Caring for a young person who has come from a residential unit will require a lot of dedication and resilience from the foster carer to manage those behaviours and complex needs already mentioned.
It is therefore preferable for intensive foster carers to have had previous experience of working with challenging behaviours/complex needs or with young people.
