The need for fostering in the Eastern region
Greg DeSmidt, Interim Area Manager for FCA Eastern, expands upon the need for more people from across the Eastern region who are thinking of fostering with FCA;
“In the Eastern region, there are always more children than we can help who need stable, safe and nurturing families. That’s why we really need more local foster carers who can help children to stay in local schools, keep their friends, and stay in touch easily with their families.
“We have 4 local FCA Eastern offices in our region so that none of our carers have to travel too far for their support groups or training days. Our staff are always on hand to provide support, and they have great knowledge of our region and can offer the best possible support.”
That staff is made up of FCA Therapists, Social Workers, Education Officers and Children and Young People Support Services, all of whom work hard every day to help guide and support our foster carers with their fostering placements in the East of England.
