Why FCA
At FCA, we understand the importance you place in choosing the right fostering agency to work with.
So why choose FCA?
With our established infrastructure, FCA delivers the necessary support, guidance and expertise to our foster carers – for the delivery of the highest quality care.
There are more reasons why you should choose FCA
FCA is the UK's largest Independent Fostering Agency
Established in 1994, with the aim of providing quality foster care to meet the needs of the most challenging looked after children and young people, FCA has continued to develop our services and expand our infrastructure over the last 15 years. We now have over 80 local and regional offices across the UK, which are supported by FCA Central Services. Find your local office.
Our Team Parenting™ support services
Team Parenting® is designed to meet a wide range of needs, including those of children and young people with complex and complicated histories who may make considerable demands upon their carers. It involves a network of locally based resources and multi-disciplinary teams of child care professionals working towards a successful outcome for the looked after children or young people. We deliver one-to-one attention and a responsive team of professionals operating around the clock.
Training and Development for our foster carers
FCA provides ongoing training and development for foster carers.
All foster care households are required to complete CWDC training at the commencement of any placement. FCA then delivers ongoing training courses at regular intervals. (We recommended that foster carers complete a minimum of four training and development courses per year). FCA training and development courses are locally based and are held at a time convenient for you. Training and development courses are provided at no cost to the foster carer.
Foster carers who wish to achieve a recognised accreditation are supported by FCA in attaining their NVQ Level 3 Health and Social care qualification.
