Every 20 minutes across the UK a child needs a foster parent. Could you make time to care this Foster Care Fortnight?
Time to foster, Time to care
Over 9,000 new foster families are needed urgently across the UK. This Foster Care Fortnight could be the time when you take that step towards becoming a foster carer.
It doesn’t matter what your personal circumstances are. It’s fine if you’re gay, straight, single, have no experience with children, are already a parent, retired or looking for the next career move. What’s important is that you have space in your home and your life to care for a young person or child.
If you want to know more about becoming a foster carer, come along to one of our information events that are running right across the country throughout May. It’s your chance to ask all of those burning questions; from what fostering a child is like, to how much foster carers get paid, to what kind of training you’ll receive.
Talk to us and you could be helping one of the 1,000 children who will need a foster parent during Foster Care Fortnight.
So what are you waiting for?
