Foster care transforms lives
Over 9,000 new foster families are needed urgently across the UK over the next 12 months meaning there is a crisis on your doorstep. With Foster Care Fortnight taking place from Monday 8th May through to Sunday 21st May, this could be the ideal time when you take that step towards becoming a foster carer.
It doesn’t matter what your personal circumstances are. It’s fine if you’re gay, straight, single, have no experience with children, are already a parent, retired or looking for the next career move. What’s important is that you have space in your home and your life to care for a young person or child.
If you want to know more about becoming a foster carer, come along to one of our information events that are running right across the country throughout May. It’s your chance to ask all of those burning questions; from what fostering a child is like, to how much foster carers get paid, to what kind of training you’ll receive.
