Fostering in the East Midlands

Welcome to FCA East Midlands

A warm welcome from the East Midlands team. Our small and friendly region comprises of Northampton, Leicester, Leicestershire, Nottingham, Peterborough, Cambridge and south Lincolnshire – and everything in between!

Here in the East Midlands, we pride ourselves on being an experienced, friendly and supportive team, because in the end all that matters is that the children and young people you are looking after achieve, either in terms of their talent or ability, that they make and sustain good relationships and become good contributing members of the community. You are the people who make this happen and we are here to support you in this process.

24/7 Fostering Support

In order to support our foster carers and children in the best possible way we have a group of highly skilled social workers and our own therapists and support workers who are brimming with experience and knowledge, and of course we have over 50 experienced foster carers across the region to offer advice to new foster carers and we hold monthly carer support groups in Nottingham, Leicestershire and Peterborough. We do everything we can to ensure the very best outcomes for the children in our care. We specialise in providing high quality caring homes for children ranging from 0-18, including therapeutic placements, parent and child placements and sanctuary seeking children on an emergency, short term, or long term basis.

Fun

There’s always something fun going on in our team; whether it be our monthly Big Bake Off competitions or getting dressed up to take part in FCA’s Big Sing Off event! Whilst we’re on the subject of cake – you will also come to know that FCA secretly stands for Food Constantly Available (but we didn’t tell you that) – we love any excuse to have a cake day! We also have an annual achievement awards to celebrate our fantastic young people and their achievements, and there’s plenty of activities across the region to take part in during the school holidays, too.

Please scroll down or check out our Facebook page to find out about recruitment events that are happening near you!

If you can offer a young person a stable and caring home, then please get in touch by calling 0800 434 6000 or using the online chat function, we’d love to hear from you.
