Marathon Cheque for BAAF
August 11, 2005
Foster Care Associates Ltd, the UK’s leading independent foster care agency, has ‘stepped’ in to support BAAF, the British Association for Adoption & Fostering, with a cheque for £8,500, raised through running the London Marathon earlier in the year.
FCA chief executive, Jim Cockburn donned his running shoes to take part along with other members of FCA staff from various regions. Their gallant efforts raised the impressive sum, which gave a much needed cash boost to the national charity.
A cheque presentation to BAAF chief executive Felicity Collier was carried out by FCA on 9 August, at Waterloo Bridge, London.
Jim Cockburn commented: “We trained extremely hard for this marathon. We were determined to raise as much money as we could for BAAF, as it is such a worthwhile charity. We had great fun on the day, but it took a while to recover!”
