Youth Project Off To A Flying Start

A sponsorship programme by Foster Care Associates (FCA) Cymru will help put the wheels in motion to support a youth initiative upgrading orphanages in Bulgaria.

A group of young people from Colwyn Bay set off to Bulgaria last week to help improve the lives and living conditions of children in orphanages. FCA’s sponsorship provide the much needed funds to get the 18-strong group off to a flying start.

Departing from Luton airport on Sunday 29th June, this charity initiative has been organised by the Sure Hope Church. Now in its third year, FCA was pleased to play a key role in helping the continued good work of local teenagers who devote their time and energy during school holiday periods to run this worthwhile project.

Tom Jones, Initiative Co-ordinator says “None of this would be possible without the support of local people and organisations such as FCA and for this we are extremely grateful. In fact without the support of FCA, in particular, we would have found difficulty in transporting the group and the equipment for the project to Luton Airport for the project to even start.
