Plucky staff from Foster Care Associates (FCA) North Wales scaled new heights to raise awareness of fostering during Foster Care Fortnight (May 12 – 25).

Emma Davies, PR and marketing manager together with fellow colleague, Jane Brotherton, abseiled off Conwy Mountain complete with a banner promoting the dedicated web address for new foster carers, www.iwanttofoster.com

FCA’s aims to encourage people interested in fostering to make that important first step to find out more about the benefits that this hugely rewarding career can offer.

Commenting, Emma Davies said: “It has been a thrilling experience abseiling off Conwy Mountain and I really hope our abseiling effort will help raise the profile of fostering and attract new foster carers.

“This year FCA is building on its previous success of recruiting some fantastic foster carers who have the commitment and understanding to take up this challenging yet hugely rewarding career.”
