March 13, 2008
The UK’s leading independent fostering agency has been ranked among the top 100 UK best companies to work for.
Foster Care Associates (FCA) with head offices in Bromsgrove has been listed in this year’s Sunday Times Top 100 Companies for its outstanding workplaces and investment in people as well as gaining 2008 Best Companies accreditation.
The elite national accreditation scrutinises workplace engagement and sets a benchmark for other companies. FCA was placed at number 43 on the 2008 Sunday Times list and secured two star ‘outstanding status’ for its Best Companies award.
“Achieving this level of recognition demonstrates the commitment which FCA continues to invest in its employees and the workplace. We believe this is a true indication of the professionalism and positive ethos FCA staff uphold across the organisation,” said David Oldham, FCA chief executive.
“Investment in people and a shared company vision is central to the long term success of FCA. We approach everything as a team and it is this culture which ensures we continue to deliver quality foster care provision to meet the needs of the fostering sector.”
This year The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For lists have been derived from entries of 868 companies covering small, medium and large organisations. The survey carried out an evaluation of each organisation’s statistics, processes and policies. Notably, FCA achieved a top 10 positive score of 86% for its team work ethos.
The Best Companies survey covers eight key categories including: Leadership, well being, my manager, my team, my company, personal growth, giving something back and fair deal. The 2008 survey attracted entries from 653 organisations with 307 achieving star status. FCA was among 117 organisations which achieved the two star status.
