Cycle Challenge announced for Foster Care Fortnight 2010
March 09, 2010
FCA is set to fly the flag for Foster Care Fortnight 2010 with the launch of a national Cycling Challenge in aid of ‘For Our Children'.
Putting power behind the pedals, Chris Benjamin and Morris Gooding from FCA Western are planning to cycle from Land's End to John O’Groats, completing a total distance of 1000 miles, during the two weeks of Foster Care Fortnight (May 17th to May 30th 2010).
The duo will visit various FCA local and regional offices along the way.
Raising money in aid of For Our Children
Chris and Morris will be gathering as much sponsorship money as possible to donate to ‘For Our Children’. 'For Our Children' is a non-government organisation in Bulgaria, which aims to support abandoned children. Working with children and families who are at risk, 'For Our Children' delivers a range of support services to ensure children live happy and fulfilling lives in a family setting.
You'll be able to donate online soon - please check back in due course for further details.
Events planned en route at local FCA offices
Chris and Morris will be stopping off at FCA local offices throughout their journey, and there’s some exciting events awaiting them.
You’ll be able to read about what they've been getting up to on their travels with regular updates on this website.
