Foster Care Fortnight 2011
On an annual basis, the fostering world, media and public come together to celebrate Foster Care Fortnight – 14 days of events, activities and festivities celebrating fostering and raising awareness of foster care.
With a proven track record in generating interest in fostering throughout the UK – at a time when there is as many as a 10,000 shortfall of foster carers – Foster Care Fortnight plays an important role in attracting new people to fostering.
When is Foster Care Fortnight 2011?
Foster Care Fortnight 2011 is scheduled to run from 16th – 29th May 2011.

Foster Care Fortnight 2011 is shaping up to be extra special, with some exciting activities planned at FCA. Keep your eyes peeled for information from your local FCA office and in local media about FCA's plans for Foster Care Fortnight 2011.
This year's theme
Foster Care Fortnight 2011 will carry the theme of 'time to care'. With a host of local activities and initiatives planned, FCA hopes that 2011 will be your time to care.
Looking back at Foster Care Fortnight 2010
For those of you who remember Foster Care Fortnight 2010, FCA raised a tremendous amount of interest in fostering – as well as raising some money for a very worthy cause – through the FCA Cycle Challenge 2010. This saw two members of the team at FCA Western, Chris and Morris, cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats, flying the flag for fostering along the way.
