FCA’s North West local and regional offices span Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, as well as parts of North Cheshire, providing support, training and assistance to our North West foster carers and looked after children.

Debbie Smith, from FCA North West, explains how FCA’s local support infrastructure plays a vital role in providing effective support for our foster carers: “Support is available 24/7 and can be mobilised swiftly and effectively to our foster carers from the 10 local carer support centres across the region. This gives our carers confidence and aids placement stability.
“Training opportunities are focussed locally to better enable carers to attend and participate and Carer Support Groups meet locally to share experiences and support each other”.
