Who We Are
FCA is the UK’s largest independent fostering agency with over 80 offices covering England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland – helping even the most challenging children to fulfil their potential by offering support, stability and security.
The agency was founded in 1994 by a group of Midland foster carers and social workers who knew that by working closely together, with readily available support, they could offer positive experiences to a whole range of children and young people.
Although we don’t like the term ‘difficult to place’, it is true to say that FCA receives placement requests from Local Authorities / Health Social Services Trusts for children and young people experiencing serious problems who are likely to make considerable demands upon those caring for them.
However we have found that with a unique combination of knowledge, experience and professional skills, and the right support package for foster carers, the chance of a successful outcome is significantly increased.
