Sanctuary Seeking Children and Young People

FCA has developed a specific support service to placements for children coming to the UK unaccompanied and seeking refugee status.

We offer a unique "Assess and Stay" placement which involves a 12 week assessment of the child or young person's holistic needs. Sanctuary Seeking Placements are made with foster families who are committed to meeting the cultural and religious needs of the child or young person. These placements will receive educational support and will benefit from FCA's Team Parenting™ approach and assist the placing authority with care planning.

Preparing foster carers for Sanctuary Seeking Placements

In recognition of the traumas experienced and the specific cultural needs of this group of children and young people. FCA will provide specific training to foster carers, comprehensive information and the support of a dedicated service advisor.
